Die 2021er 100% Islay Abfüllung von Kilchoman! 

Vom Aussäen der Gerstensamen bis zur Abfüllung in die formschönen Whiskyflaschen – ein Whisky, der reich an Tradition und Qualität ist – der 100% Islay. Mild-rauchige Noten und blumige Aromen, die von einem Hauch Zitrus eingefangen werden. Der traditionelle Whisky 100% Islay in der 10. Generation ist das Aushängeschild der Destillerie Kilchoman. Er spiegelt die Tradition der schottischen Brennereien wider. Und noch etwas Besonderes hat er aufzuweisen: Der 100% Islay ist weltweit der einzige Single Malt Scotch Whisky, der auf nur einer Farm-Destillerie produziert wird. Ein besonderer Tropfen, auf besondere Weise hergestellt.

Nose:   bright notes of lemon zest, melted butter, sweet spices and damp smoldering peat smoke.

 Palate: dried seaweed, chimney smoke, cloves, sweet tobacco, banana and linseed oil.

 Finish:  dried apricot, vanilla and rounded peat smoke.

Anthony Wills kommentiert zum Vintage: „Balance is a word I am often accused of over-using in my descriptions of Kilchoman, but the Vintage has it! I always seek a perfect balance whenever I am creating new expressions, a nod to the distillery character, peat smoke, citrus sweetness which develop and flourish in the bourbon barrels. On the other hand side the sherry butts really provide layers of rich fruity flavour which add to but don’t overwhelm the lighter influence of the bourbon barrel.”
